Industry Education: Animal Training Workshop
Learn what it takes to be an animal trainer from industry leaders, with Thad Lacinak and Angi Millwood of Precision Behavior

Thad Lacinak & Angi Millwood are the co-founders/owners of Precision Behavior.  They have consulted at over 60 aquariums and zoos in more than 20 countries.  They have authored numerous papers and Thad is the co-author of three Whale Done books.  He was also featured in a white shark T.V. special, “Beyond the Cage of Fear.”

Thad and Angi also produced and are featured in the documentary, “Elephant in the Room.”  Thad had a 35-year career at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens and retired as the Vice President & Corporate Curator of Animal Training and Enrichment.  Angi was on the opening team of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, was a manager of marine mammals at Atlantis, the Palm, in Dubai, and was the Animal Training Coordinator of the Fort Worth Zoo. Topics covered include key elements of successful animal training; making the most of play; dealing with unwanted behavior and more.  There will be demonstrations of concepts with live dolphins, otters and pelicans.  All course information is applicable with all species, from dolphins to tigers and humans.
