POSITION DESCRIPTION
POSITION TITLE:  Marketing Coordinator
REPORTS TO: VP, Marketing and Advertising and Director, Tourism
SUPERVISES: N/A
EXEMPT OR NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt
PERCENTAGE OF FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT: Full Time
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand for several hours at a time; potentially in the elements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The Marketing Coordinator, under the direction of the VP, Marketing and Advertising and Director, Tourism will implement the hotel partnership program and provide required support to the marketing department.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Implementation of the hotel partnership program, including but not limited to the following specific duties:
    • Ensure on-line advertising creative is submitted and kept up to date
    • Supply product for the CMA package, ticket resale, merchandise program, in-hotel promotions (brochure racks, in-room product)
    • Consistent contact with the merchandise manager of the hotel store to maximize CMA product sales
    • Consistent contact with the concierge to ensure maximum referrals
    • Liaise with Community Relations Coordinator to provide key staff tours
    • Support special appearances and events as they arise at hotels
    • Compile reports on incoming revenue from the hotel program
  • Coordination of on-site special events (i.e. Dolphin Tale actor  appearances)
  • Advertising research, trafficking and contract administration support
  • Development of creative promotional ideas for various platforms including website, social, on-site, special events (Mother’s Day) or in advertising
  • Creation of sales research briefs outlining key information about sponsorship prospects
  • Tourism-based sales mission coordination and support
  • Content and copywriting duties as required for various platforms including advertising, website, proposals, on-site presentations and reports
  • Administrative support for duties such as boat donation sales, budget tracking, awards submissions, on-site research and more as required
  • Any additional duties as needed for the Marketing Department or Management

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing preferred
  • Experience developing promotions in an attraction or event setting
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Outstanding organizational skill
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment without missing deadlines or task responsibilities
  • Must be outgoing and approachable
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must have the ability to work at WDTA and CMA during required hours
