Rescue Mission – Feeny (Bottlenose Dolphin)

Tampa Bay, FL (September 17, 2015) – Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) responded to a live stranded dolphin in Cockroach Bay. The call was reported to the FWC by local fishermen, who observed the 260-pound bottlenose dolphin lying on its side during low tide.

The dolphin was nicknamed “Feeny,” after the character from the television series, Boy Meets World. After an overall assessment, biologists determined Feeny required further care.

Watch as the CMA team helps Feeny on his journey to Mote Marine Laboratory an Aquarium in Sarasota, FL. You can learn more about Mote and Feeny at https://mote.org/hospital/patient/feeny.
