DVD Documentary
Inspiring film of a Young Dolphin that Survived Against All Odds. Entertainment for the entire family.
Synopsis
“Winter, The Dolphin that Could,” is a documentary about a dolphin that “never says never.” This film recounts the true story of Winter, the tailless dolphin. The young animal was not expected to survive after her tail got caught in a crab trap and eventually fell off. This story will take you on an extraordinary journey through Winter’s rescue and rehabilitation, including never seen before behind-the-scenes video of her tail and her fight to stay alive.
The documentary also shares the story of how Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics stepped up to make Winter a one-of-a-kind prosthetic tail. The gell created for the sleeve of her tail is now remarkably helping humans with prosthetics walk comfortably. The film also features a music video produced to Martina McBride’s hit song, “Anyway.” Don’t miss this unparalleled story of survival, inspiration and the bond between humans and animals.
The documentary is presented by Clearwater Marine Aquarium and Gabby Productions, in conjunction with Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute and Florida Atlantic University.
