My son and I are looking forward to our fieldtrip with you. We are eager to learn about Winter. We live on an island and have much sea life around us.
Thank you for making this possible.
I am the Media Specialist for an elementary school. Since this is a “first” virtual field trip for us, we are participating with one or two 2nd Grade Teachers. We are looking forward to it…Thanks for offering it and inviting us!!
I am showing this to my 4th grade class and they are soo excited to see it. I purchased the book and read it to them and now they have a little background on Winter. Thank you so much for making it possible to see Winter’s journey. We are ALL looking forward to the virtual field trip. Thanks again.
My whole second grade class is so excited about watching Winter they can hardly concentrate today. We used your educational materials and others I pulled in our Exploration Station during center time. We have watched the caledar since the month started and marked off the days to Winter. We have checked in on her tank every day and watched her on the webcam. We have drawn and labeled pictures of her and studied her ocean habitat. We have met Winter’s friends Panama, Indy, and Nicholas. I can’t tell you how grateful I am as a teacher to have such a wonderful subject with which to inspire the children. Thank you for offering such an opportunity.
Please make it more available to all schools. Ours wont allow the web cast, it is restricted. larahl@fusd.net
Any suggestions?
As a volunteer who was involved with Winter from the moment she arrived at the aquarium, it makes me very proud of being a part of such a wonderful place that has dedicated staff and volunteers who devote their time to make sure that beautiful creatures such as Winter, Nicholas, Indy and Panama are insured a place to spend out their lives. A higher power decided that this little dolphin has a place and a job to do and she has done it well. We all love our little girl.
Our second grade class really enjoyed watching Winter’s story. The students all said that she is an inspiration to them, and that they are proud of her. We will enjoy continuing to watch her progress and hope for the best for her everyday. Thank you for the oppurtunity to share this with our students!
I love this dolvfin its a kool dolvfin!!
I just saw the webcast with my daughters entire school. Winter’s story is amazing. The school Librarian Mrs. Thompson did an awesome job of setting this up and sharing the story of Winter with the children. When the first picture of Winter came up the whole school cheered “Winter”. I gave me goosebumps. Thank you for offering this to schools and children across the country, many children might not get the opportunity to see what they saw today. It was also nice for me to go back, my husband and I visited CMA on our honeymoon 13 years ago.
Hi, we just wanted to tell thank you for inviting us to Winter’s birthday party. We are making her birthday cards filled with good wishes. We were so please to be able to meet her through your webcast. Can you tell us how many people were signed on, and from what parts of the world? Thank you! Please send a huge hug to Winter from the students at The Study School in Westmount, Quebec.

CMA is such an amazing place, unique with special residents like Winter, her dolphin family, sea turtles and river otters. All the animals are ambassadors for their species telling a story to remind us how fragile our environment is and that it we need care for our ecosystem better. Their presence trancends the boundaries outside of their home, impacting millions around the world. The volunteers and staff truly make a difference sharing a bond that promotes awareness to guests and gives the best care for some incredible animals! CMA’s residents definitely have a role, they make a difference to all those who come into contact with. As a volunteer of 4 years, it has been an amazing journey to give back with passion and make a difference with Winter and the rest of the CMA family
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WINTER!! My daughter and I were very honored to be able to sing the new “Winter” song! It was extra special because we have watched you on your entire journey from day one and visit you often. Cady wants to be a marine biologist when she grow up. Happy Birthday “Sweetie-Pie Dolphin” as we have always called you. A very special THANK YOU to all the tireless love and care so many amazing people gave you and continue to give you!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WINTER. i sow sad wute hapen.
Treated fourth graders in St. Pete to the live webcast on Wednesday to celebrate Winter’s Birthday. They loved it and have developed a new love for our celebrity dolphin! Now, they are writing poems about Winter and her famous journey from Mosquito Lagoon to Clearwater. Winter’s story has inspired so many, and this week she has inspired poets, as well!
Winter is Great!
My little brother and I watched Winter’s birthday party as a part of his science for the day because he home schools. My Kindergarten age brother now wants to be a Marine Biologist and is in love with the entire Winter tale.
I was a volunteer in the late 90’s at the Aquarium. I fondly remember, Sunset Sam. The resident dolphin.
