A visit to Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a must-do for the whole family. This is not your typical aquarium! Our marine life rescue center is home to Winter the Dolphin, star of the popular Dolphin Tale movies, filmed on location in Florida. We’re located near Clearwater Beach – voted TripAdvisor’s 2016 “#1 Beach in the U.S” – and only 90 minutes from Orlando! Come be inspired and learn about our ongoing work of rescue, rehabilitation and release.

We are a unique organization specializing in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of sick or injured marine animals. The animals that come through our doors arrive because they are suffering from an illness or severe injury. Many of our animals are found by local residents, fishermen, park rangers or even visitors to the area.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium (CMA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working marine rescue center dedicated to inspiring the human spirit through leadership in education, research, rescue, rehabilitation and release. CMA is home to rescued dolphins, sea turtles, river otters, stingrays, nurse sharks and more. One of our world-famous residents is Winter the Dolphin. Winter’s story has inspired millions around the world in the major motion picture, Dolphin Tale, and the sequel, Dolphin Tale 2.
