Summer Camps

Registration for Summer Camps is now open!

Summer Camp with Winter & Hope

We offer a coastal learning experience, with week-long camps (half or full-day) featuring Winter, Hope and their river otter and sea turtle friends. Camps feature snorkeling in sea grass beds and sand flats, kayaking through local estuaries, meeting our rescued residents and discovering fascinating marine creatures in their natural habitat. Your kids will love the summer fun and you will feel good about the valuable educational experience.

high school student shadow program

Ever wonder what it would be like to work at a working marine animal hospital? Join us for our new teen career shadow experience! This experience gives you an inside look at aquarium careers. Meet aquarium personnel, participate in activities, and explore behind the scenes. Learn about Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s research and conservation programs, education, and animal husbandry.

Offered: Each Wednesday from June 13-August 8, 2018
Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm
Price: $99.00, $75.00 members and pass holders
Ages: 15-18

Holiday Hoopla

Single-Day Programs and All 3 Days of Camp Combos available.

Join us at Clearwater Marine Aquarium as we visit and learn about our inspirational resident animals and their stories of survival.   Immerse yourself in learning all about our Florida marine life and their cold-water cousins. Discover how blubber and fur work to keep animals warm, prepare treats for our rescued animals and spend time out on the water seeing animal adaptations in action, and much more! Participate in a fish feeding session, play educational games and make crafts, as we compare animal adaptations here in Florida with those in the coldest regions of the world. Have a Holly Jolly holiday full of fun at Clearwater Marine Aquarium!*

  • Learn about cold weather adaptations and marine life
  • Blow bubbles to an otter
  • Feed our fish holiday treats
  • Take a boat ride around Clearwater Bay while conducting a plankton tow and investigate your samples under a microscope
  • Meet one of our animal care team members and participate in a private Q&A session
  • Don’t toast marshmallows when you can make a marshmallow catapult at camp
  • Make an Elf parachute while engineering the best design

*All animal activities are included in the three day combo package. When purchasing a single day program, activities will vary by day. Boat rides and outdoor activities are weather permitting  We are unable to guarantee a specific activity on a specific day.

Sea of Thanks and Holiday Hoopla camps are for children ages 6-12.

Spring Break Camp

Registration for spring camps is currently closed.

“Spring into Science” Spring Break Camp

Campers will be immersed in science exploration and experimentation, which will excite and inspire as we study Clearwater Bay. Campers will board a Clearwater Marine Aquarium vessel and study the local ecosystem while participating in plankton tows and net pulls. In addition, campers will discover the properties of water, have hands-on practice using the scientific method and learn about our other exhibits before we open to the public each day.
