Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s educational department seeks to provide as many opportunities to provide educational experiences that are engaging and fun here at CMA or off-site.

EDUCATIONAL GROUP ADMISSION
(Schools, Scouts and Camps)
The cost for eligible educational groups is $8.95 per person (students, chaperones and teachers) for admission to Clearwater Marine Aquarium, with a minimum of 10 people.

Educational Add-On Programs
Group visits are completely self-guided; however, school, educational or scout groups can schedule a 45-minute educational add-on program. Please note that requesting a certain date or time does not reserve your spot. Your group will receive a confirmation e-mail once your date or time is reserved. It is recommended that you bring your confirmation e-mail with you on your group visit. Groups arriving more than 15 minutes late for scheduled educational add-on programs will forfeit the program without refund.
Sweet Dreams with Winter Program
Need a teambuilding or service project for your group? This program gives your group an opportunity to work together and team build to prepare and decorate pillowcases for children currently undergoing treatment. Teams will engage in Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s mission by first learning about our rescued resident animals and participating in various activities while learning about marine-friendly practices. Using only eco-conscience products, the pillowcases are then assembled and decorated for delivery to local community partners. Participants are able to write and attach a personalized message for the pillowcase recipient.

Program length: 2 to 2.5 hours
Non-school groups — $20.00/per person.
School Groups — $10.00/per person

Girl Scout Programs
Available: September to May
Length: 2 Hours
Price: $10.95 per scout/per program*
Troop Size: Minimum 10 participants, maximum 50 participants. (Consecutive sessions can be conducted if group size is larger than 50).

All Girl Scout troops who participate in an educational program will earn an exclusive Winter’s “Be True to the Ocean Blue” fun patch bracelet. This bracelet is only available to Girl Scout troops who participate in an educational program and is not available for purchase in our gift shop. Participating Scouts and two group leaders get complimentary admission to the Aquarium after the program. Any additional parents and children pay $8.95 per person group admission rate.BOOK NOW

SAWYER’S SLEEPOVER ADVENTURE
Price: $79.95 per child (5-18 years of age) and chaperones
Educational and Fun
CMA’s overnight program, Sawyer’s Sleepover Adventure, combines education and fun as your group explores the Aquarium after hours. Get a private tour of CMA, learn about our resident animals, and wake up for a boat tour around beautiful Clearwater Bay with one of our marine specialists. Perfect for scout troops and birthday parties! Available weekends.

Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s After-school Adventures! We offer an interactive and educational after-school program to area schools looking to promote ecological awareness and environmental stewardship. We come to your school once a week and conduct an hour-long class for up to 30 children. We bring all our own materials, unique curriculum and knowledgeable staff. Our classes range in topic, including dolphin behavior, turtle anatomy, bird life, ocean invertebrates, reducing your ecological footprint and more. We are able to modify our content if your students are investigating a certain topic on which we could expand. We offer programs for children in grades K-8 and would be happy to conduct any grade range combination you would like at your school. Virtual Field Trips
VIRTUAL FIELD TRIPS
CMA now offers virtual field trips for your school or group. These interactive lessons teach students about marine life. Participating groups may submit questions prior to the virtual field trip for our staff to answer during the session. Meet world-famous Winter the Dolphin and learn about our amazing rehabilitated animals, all in your own school. All of our staff knowledge is at your fingertips. It’s educational and fun! Available: Monthly Length: 30-45 minutes long Price: $150.00 Age Range: Any age range is available.
The broadcast is a pre-recorded video including the answers to your submitted questions and a session with Winter, her prosthetic tail, and two of her trainers. You will have access to the Custom Broadcast for a month and can watch it an unlimited number of times.
Skype with an education staff member along with a training session with one of our resident dolphins. Have all your questions answered live and virtually tour around the Aquarium.
