SCL (STRAIGHT CARAPACE LENGTH): 68.6 cm
EXAM FINDINGS: Quiet and lethargic; large amount of epibiota (barnacles) on the carapace (shell).
INITIAL TREATMENT: Received vitamins, antibiotics, and fluids
On April 19, 2017, a sub-adult loggerhead sea turtle was found in the intake of the St. Lucie Power Plant, covered in barnacles and in a very weakened, lethargic state. The turtle was brought to Clearwater Marine Aquarium for triage and medical care.

4/20/17: Started on a regimen of daily antibiotics, glucose checks, fluids, and TPN (Total Parenteral Nutrition).
4/26/17: Starting to increase swim time and diet.
5/7/17: Discontinued glucose checks, fluids, and TPN. Switching to oral medications.
6/29/17: Crackle has been cleared for release!
