How do I become a member?
If I bought tickets to CMA, can I get a credit towards membership?
Yes. You may redeem your admission cost up to the value of the membership pass you purchase. Membership purchase must be made the same day of your visit prior to leaving CMA. Visit the Guest Services office or the admission window.
Do members receive a parking discount?
Yes, members receive discounted parking in the CMA parking garage. Free parking for Friends of CMA.
What basic benefits will I receive as a CMA member?
- Discounts on food and beverage, boat tours, kids’ camps, birthday parties, animal photo ops and animal encounters.
- 20% discount in the gift shop (Membership must be presented).
- CMA e-newsletter and invitations to special events.
- Free or discounted admission to reciprocal partner attractions.
- 50% parking garage discount.
- Purchase of a membership provides you with 12 months of free admission from the date of purchase. Admission is valid during general operating hours. CMA is closed Thanksgiving and Christmas days
- 10% discount on food and beverage, boat tours, birthday parties, animal photo ops and animal encounters (Membership must be presented).
- 10% off admission per guest for member guests.
- 20% discount in the gift shop (digital membership card must be presented) and in our online shop.
- Invitations to special events.
- Pre-sale and discount opportunities on CMA educational camps – ONLY APPLICABLE WITH FAMILY OF 4 PASSES OR HIGHER (limit two discounts per child/per year).

How do I use my membership?
A link to download your digital membership is sent to the email you associate with your CMA account. For environmental purposes, we are utilizing digital membership cards on mobile devices.
Are memberships transferable?
All memberships are associated with the named individual(s) and are not transferable to another person. Each membership has a specific identifier/bar code. Unnamed guest passes associated with the Family Flex pass can only be used when attending with a named member.
How does the Family Flex Pass work?
A Family Flex Pass allows two named adults to bring up to the selected number of unnamed guests (adult or children) throughout the year.
Can I use my membership the same day I purchase it?
Yes. When you purchase your membership online or in person, your government issued ID and/or receipt will serve as your temporary membership and will allow you admission until your digital membership is emailed to you. For environmental purposes, we are utilizing a digital pass and discourage printing the confirmation. Once you purchase all you need to bring is your ID.
When will I receive my digital membership cards?
CMA digital membership cards are downloadable to your mobile device (Apple Wallet or Android PassWallet). You will receive link via email to access your digital pass, generally within 72 hours of purchase. The digital membership will reside on your mobile device.
How do I access my digital membership?
You can easily access your digital membership on your mobile device through your digital wallet (Apple Wallet or Android Pass Wallet). Once you receive the initial email and click the link to download your digital pass you will be prompted to “Add to your wallet” or prompted to download a free wallet app to your mobile device through your device’s app store. It takes less than a minute to download the free wallet app and you only do at the initial download. If you choose not to download the app to access your digital pass, you can simply show photo ID at admission.
Will I receive a hard copy of my membership?
No. The membership is a digital membership. For environmental purposes, CMA has decided to transition away from printing and mailing paper cards/passes.
I have a Lifetime Membership. Will this be honored?
Lifetime memberships will be honored.
My CMA membership is still valid but I no longer have access to my pass. Can it be replaced?
Digital memberships can be resent to your email for download. Please contact [email protected]. CMA no longer issues hard copy or replacement membership cards.
I do not have access to my digital membership. Can I still visit CMA for free?
Yes, just show your government issued ID.
Do I have to show a photo ID every time I come to CMA?
To ensure appropriate use of membership benefits and privileges, CMA will require valid photo ID. Children are not required to present photo ID but should be accompanied by a parent or adult from their household or present their digital membership. Children under 13 attending with an adult outside their household may not be admitted for free if they are not able to present their digital membership or photo ID. We appreciate your understanding.
Can my friends or family members use my membership if I am not going?
Individual and Family memberships are non-transferable. Only the person(s) named on the annual or family pass may enter CMA using the pass. All named members will be required to show a valid photo ID. The Family Flex Pass allows the selected number of unnamed guests (adults or children).
How do I renew my membership?
You can renew online here. Simply login to renew. If you do not have your login info you can use the lookup to search for you pass number.
Can I purchase a CMA membership as a gift?
Yes, you can purchase a membership for an individual other than yourself. You will need to provide the gift recipient’s name, address, phone number and email. The link to download the digital membership will be sent to the email provided. Passes are valid one year from the date of purchase.
I have not used my membership in a few months. Can I get an extension for the time I didn’t use it?
We do not assign credit for those who have not used their memberships. Even if you have lost a previous membership card or are not able to access the digital membership, you are always able to visit the CMA by showing your government issued I.D. or email purchase confirmation/receipt.
I am going out of town; can I freeze my account?
We are unable to place temporary freezes or holds on accounts.
Is there a newsletter for members?
CMA members will receive our monthly CMA e-newsletter. Exclusive updates may be emailed to members on occasion.
I do not want to become a member, but would like to purchase day tickets to CMA. Can I purchase online?

How do I receive the educational camp discount?
Membership discounts on kids’ camps are offered to Family of 4 memberships and higher. Camp discounts do not apply to individual adult or senior memberships.
